Kinda reminds me about something we talked about before. How endless philosophical/theological reasoning will ultimately get you nowhere, or at least it has no true practical applications in life. In fact, abandoning the infinite puzzle of philosophy and yet still adopting belief is largely what faith is.

It's an interesting discussion, and I do agree that Christians would be better off bringing Earthly and Heavenly concerns together. God didn't put you guys on Earth just to have a fun time, he made you with a purpose, and what other ultimate purpose could a Christian serve other than to spread their word?

I'd like to see more thoughts of yours on the subject of motivation. Particularly, if accepting the gift of Jesus automatically allows you to transcend into Heaven, then why try hard to be a good Christian if you're always going to reach the end goal? This is a particularly important topic to cover in an age where Christianity is becoming more passive in light of the advances of science and competition against other domineering religions.

Thanks Sam, :) I want to reduce the colour, not increase the cartoon but I know what you mean. Perspective and I were fighting all the way through, so yeah good thing to focus on. As for empathising point yeah I know what you mean, still working on it :)

Comics!

Solid start, in terms of art style I think you need to practise with perspective more (the papers in the first panel, and the clock in the second, should be more slanted on their respective surfaces). Your style is naturally bright and bold so I'd recommend taking a more cartoony approach to how you draw humans (on about the same level as old school Disney, who by the way is a great inspiration to draw pose and character designs from).

For 3 page panel comics, it's important to exaggerate the point in each panel as you don't have a lot of space to convey the message to the audience. What you have here is actually really solid, you just need to emphasise the structure more. The desperation to get the work finished is not immediately clear in the first panel, and the arrival of the illness could be more pronounced in the second.

Look at me ramble on... hope you find that useful, I'd like to see more. : )

I think every now and then something makes us 'stop and stare'. Be it something we just saw, something we have heard, or that light switch moment when it just clicks. We all reflect upon our life, we will constantly have these moments in life where we question ourselves, our actions or even our reactions.

You have done so much helping and caring and looking after people, for a few months while you wrap up your degree and worry about little things, it won't matter as knowing you, once your free you will continue to do these things. You also need to take breaks and let yourself recharge. Rest. Revitalize.

“You may think that in life, a lot of things happen to you along the way. The truth is, in life, you happen to a lot of things along the way.”

“It is the big choices we make that set our direction. It is the smallest choices we make that get us to the destination.”
