Solid start, in terms of art style I think you need to practise with perspective more (the papers in the first panel, and the clock in the second, should be more slanted on their respective surfaces). Your style is naturally bright and bold so I’d recommend taking a more cartoony approach to how you draw humans (on about the same level as old school Disney, who by the way is a great inspiration to draw pose and character designs from).
For 3 page panel comics, it’s important to exaggerate the point in each panel as you don’t have a lot of space to convey the message to the audience. What you have here is actually really solid, you just need to emphasise the structure more. The desperation to get the work finished is not immediately clear in the first panel, and the arrival of the illness could be more pronounced in the second.
Look at me ramble on… hope you find that useful, I’d like to see more. : )
Thanks Sam, :) I want to reduce the colour, not increase the cartoon but I know what you mean. Perspective and I were fighting all the way through, so yeah good thing to focus on. As for empathising point yeah I know what you mean, still working on it :)
